What does being a Titus 2 woman mean to you?
Well, verse 4 says this
4 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
And that has always been my focus. If I can impart that to other mothers and wives I feel I have succeeded. It isn’t about me it is about loving them. If I can just always really love them and do what the Lord would have me do then all will be OK. I can teach how to potty train all day, or how to not have your young people become teenagers or a million other subjects, but if I can impart just that heart to LOVE THEM, love them more than you love yourself, love them with the love of Jesus, appreciate what He has given you. If I can impart that and from then on out everything you do is motivated by that love. Then all is well.

Huge, loud AmEn! I was at a kids’ ministry conference last year, and one of the things the speaker (Reggie Joiner) said that kept resonating, echoing in my head and heart was “You’ve got to fight for your relationships. Don’t stop fighting for your family.” Why? Because the enemy would rather keep you divided, in strife, worlds apart from each other. It is amazing how the Lord grabbed my will in that moment and gave me the extra umph to make some changes in deeper love for my husband and my kids. While all was fine before, I wanted it to be better tomorrow. And God has honored it.
No matter what we love to do, what we have a passion for, let us not forget to put our love for our Savior and for our families first. See what you started here?
Just love your heart expressed in this post. (off the soapbox 😉 now…)

Great post! Loving (as a verb, not a feeling@) your family is strenuous work and – one thing – HELP! How do I keep my young people from becoming teenagers??!! Just kidding – sort of… I actually realized this summer that we really have to fight very hard for our families and agains the word’s system that tells us what is “normal” and “expected” and OK. I’ll be back to your website…

In the Bible passage I have been memorizing is the following portion:
“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Colossians 3:14 (NIV)
Love – it binds things together. Faith, hope, and love – what is the greatest of the three? LOVE.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
