Last year we brought home two very very malnourished Arabian mares. The folks who had them could not properly take care of them and asked us to take them. All they did for two weeks was stand wth their face in a hayroll. And then being typical hot blooded Arabians they flirted with the stallions, and were promptly in foal (pregnant). Well at least they are predictable.
1 day from her due date, Jewell had her baby, right where and when we wanted her too. Sweet girl huh? It is a filly, (girl) momma is an Arabian and daddy is a Paint (quarter horse with spots). In fact her daddy is one that I have so many pictures on here all the time. Baby looks like she will be a bay and maybe she might have some socks and maybe a spot or two. With Jewell being a fisrt time momma and already having a crowd congratulating her I figured we could check out more specifics later. 🙂  Here are a couple early pics.
Wow! How exciting. I’ve never lived on a farm so I find your blog so interesting to read.
Well dear friend, I can keep you interested for days on end.
Hi Penny, my dd LOVES your new baby. You could call her “Canada” as she was born on Canada Day 😛 . It’s been awhile since we’ve chatted, we might even get down to Tennessee in the next year, as my dd is going down there to work for Nancy for 3 months (ulp, my baby is growing up).
Look at those looooooong legs! Adorable.
