My Simple Woman’s Daybook For Today… February 16 , 2009
good morning dear April! who is now a new Momma, and has made me a Grandmomma!
Outside my Window… it is cold again, I wonder if something is blooming, we call these cold snaps “Dogwood Winter” or “Redbud Winter” according to what is blooming. There are about 5 extra “Winters”.
I am thinking… about my family, and how wonderful it is to have a big one, when I had babies I never really had anyone to come help, my extended family never understood the concept of that, all the women worked. It is so nice to be able to take all of April’s sisters to her house and for us to cook and clean for her and give her stress free baby bonding time. I believe that is God’s plan, for us to support one another. No wonder too many moms only have a couple children without a sense of community.
I am thankful for… my children, and grandchild
From the kitchen… I hear dishes being washed
From the learning rooms… we are learning about service, serving one another
I am wearing… navy knit pants and a pink tshirt with a button up corduroy shirt over it
I am reading… the book of Jeremiah
I am hoping… to have a peaceful week, and that all is productive and smooth
I am hearing… my children doing their chores
I am creating… new Creatively Simple “How to” books – “Sprouts In A Jar”, “Homemade Donuts”, and “Homemade Bread The Old Fashioned” way are the titles for this week. I am also working on one abut how to make bloomers. My “Butter in a Blender book will be given away free on Friday. Stay tuned here.
Around the house… things are very quiet still
One of my favorite things… my dear new grandbaby Zoe
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… lots of blogging, baby holding, and ebook writing, keep checking back at my front page
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you… Daffodils are to a Southerner like the Rainbow was to Noah. Our promise that winter won’t last forever.
I haven’t said hello since I have started following you on twitter.
I love your blog here and everything you stand for!
I’m going to have to do this myself!

I love daffodils! They’re so bright and pretty. Dd#3 and I will be spending some time with dd#1, her husband, and the grandbabies when the new grandbaby comes next month. It’s been over a year since we saw them. We’re very excited that we’ll be spending time with them and helping dd#1.

So true about daffodils!! I live in GA and I look forward to seeing those sweet yellow flowers peek through the soil every year. Daffodils were my mother’s (with Jesus now) favorite flower and I think of her whenever I see one. LOVELY picture!
