my home as a haven

Especially with a big family things have to run smoothly for our home to be a haven. But since we are also ministers we are being being pulled in more directions than some are. Not to mention that my husband is one of those nice guys that everybody asks for help. So just like a car has to be running on all cylinders to be smooth and efficient, so every member of our household needs to be in tune. We all need to be in tune to God’s timing. It is good to be helpful to others, but we have to hear God’s plan for our days. As a momma we get to set the pace.  We get to hear God’s plan and implement it. We get to see that our hubby’s plans are carried out, we actually get to help him do what God has called him to do. In my case it is often questioning him on whether or not every request for his time is actually prompted by God. Sometimes it takes somebody a little further from the problems to see it. That is what being a helpmate is all about, helping them carry out their calling. That is what being a momma is all about, helping our children reach God’s goals for them. Because when things run smoothly my Home is a Haven.
