We live in a lovely 1800’s farm house. With a lovely, “come and sit” front porch. The porch is not an accident. To me front porches are an invitation. A house without a porch is like a face without a smile. I think everybody needs a house with a front porch and 2 rockers. And I have one, but at the moment it is a mess. We had been cleaning closets and storage sheds and everything going to freecycle is currently on my front porch. So that is my Tackle it Tuesday project today. If I stop now to take pictures and post them I will start out side tracked. So I will try to add pictures later…. stay tuned. And I have some interesting news ….. those I already shared with say it made them laugh and cry.

We have a covered back porch. We eat there almost every nigh in the summer. I love it.
I used to sweep a few times a day becasue the dogs drag in so much dirt. Now I use the grass blower –super!

I agree about the front porch being an invitation. We finally have a great front porch.
Good Luck.

My front porch is little and I need to add something to it to make it more welcoming.

How nice…I live in a rental property, and we have a teeny weeny landing in place of a front porch. I agree with you…houses need cozy porches!

That is the one thing I’ve always wanted for my house – a beautiful, inviting front porch. Maybe someday! Good luck with your tackle.
