Well the big story this year around here was when Amy Basel of Spring Hill TN posted this on facebook ….
Drove by and did a double-take. Growing up in the mitten, you would NEVER see this. Tennessee McDonald’s…you made my day. “His name is Jesus”.

now personally I don’t find that earth shattering news, but several thousands of folks did. I guess I have been living in the South for quite awhile, because saying Jesus out loud is normal to me, along with business owners who are not afraid to mix business with their beliefs. There is more to this story. Actually the McDonalds company had nothing to do with it, this store and others are owned by the Wolfe family, local folks here. And they have painted a “Jesus message” on their storefront windows for as long as I can remember. Not to get attention. Not to become famous. Not to get a viral post on facebook. It is just something they do because of who they are. Because that is what real believers do, they could not remove Jesus from their business if they had to. He is part of who they are. Here is another one of their locations … a pic I took while getting diesel after church on Sunday. This is normal around here, and I don’t think folks would take it lightly if ever told they couldn’t mention His name. And just for the record we mention His name in our business dealings too 🙂
Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. ~ Luke 9:26
That’s nice to see, and yes it’s sad that it’s a big deal. Unfortunately, it would be a big deal here in S. CA too, and I wish it was more of the norm.
