I love Mondays, I really do, I love to-do lists and a new page on the calendar, I love goals and hit lists (my superpower word for GET IT DONE to-do lists) . I love accomplishing things. My Dad especially, but both parents raised a “the sky is the limit” go-getter, trail blazing daughter. Which is good in some ways and not so good in others. When is it not good? When God says “be still”. When His direction and His spontaneous plan is not on my map. Yes I pray before I even make my lists, but sometimes for reasons that only make sense to Him, He rearranges things. Sometimes I wonder if it is only just to make sure I will still praise Him in all things. And I welcome that. I welcome that still voice that sometimes says, “I know I told you to go right, but stop for a minute and go left, we will get back on this road in a minute”. I love to hear Him whisper.
So, all that to say, Happy Monday!! On Tuesday of course because Monday was gone before I actually hit publish here. But that is ok. Last Monday’s post was all about attitude, boy was that an understatement and I won’t bore you with details. But let’s just say that when nothing at all works, Jesus is at work 🙂 . And I saw it and knew where it was coming from, and if my speaking positive encouraging overcoming words ruffles the enemy so much, well that is just how things are. I speak for Jesus and nothing else.
So, here we are again, a week with beautiful weather, we still have not decided if we will take a vacation this fall. We often gather up the married daughters with their families and all the fun grandchildren and go together but schedules are kind of scattered still. I will try to get back to my posts about the Smoky Mountains and fun places and things to do there this week. The leaves are just now starting to change. I may just have to drop things and go after all.
Well, we have a beautiful week ahead. disclaimer – you can safely assume that anytime I share a link, it is an affiliate link those bless me and you!
First I will feature again my Creative Simple ~ How to Make Your House a Home. One of my favorites books.
Making your house a home has nothing to do with where you live.
