Naturally Sweet Blender Treats ~ review

cookin it up· reviews

Deborah Tukua has done it again with Naturally Sweet Blender Treats, another great book I love. I thought we were pretty much the natural blender queens but she rivals us and our home recipes with this book. As usual she has lots of helpful info, and tips galore. But she also has some very interesting natswwetamazonand unusual looking recipes.

Will definitely have to try that one. But first I think I would like to try the Iced Mocha Joe, and then the Butter Pecan Ice Cream. And everything in between.

I love that she doesn’t have just recipes, although there are plenty of those. She has recipes from breakfast to after supper desert. But what I also love is that she covers the basics of how to best freeze fresh fruit, and what type of blender to use and how best to use it.

She also includes smoothies and slushies and mousses, and just to be complete there are also hot beverages, yummy!!!

We happen to have a Ninja Ultima that blends everything short of bricks, and probably those too, but don’t worry even if you have your average blender she covers how it will work just fine too with some adjustments, and exactly how to use it properly.  So, the question isn’t whether or not you are going to benefit from this book, the question is, “what do I make first?  And second, and third!”

Deborah has a friendly writing style that always makes you feel like you are in her kitchen learning hands on right alongside her. This book is just another great example of that feeling. Thanks Deborah!! More yumminess coming right up!!
