I usually keep pretty busy, and busy is one thing I am trying to remedy. So yesterday when hubby needed to make a delivery for our Rustic-Horses.com business, we all went along. It was to the home of some great folks, and it was far enough away to count as a road trip. The said they loved on the water at a great fishing spot in a unique rustic home. Well unique was right, whoever did the trim work in this house was indeed very talented and we had fun looking around and coming up with some new ideas. I took lots of pictures I will show you later, but that is not what I am sharing about here. Nor am I sharing about the great view from their boat dock. Nor am I sharing about the great place we stopped late last night for supper. Even though Bubba’s Smokehouse was pretty great, and so was the generous family that runs it.
What I really want to share with you this morning, the day before the biggest Holiday of the year for most folks, is to STOP. Stop dead in your tracks and look around. If this time next year things around you were totally different, different place and people, what would you miss? Who would you miss? What would you kick yourself for being to busy to enjoy?
Take time to look in a childs face. Take time to thank the Lord for what He has given you. Take time. It is not replaceable. Stop. Breath. Thank Him. Look around and thank Him for the things you rarely notice. The hidden blessings. The small things.
Dont be in a hurry.
and .. your thoughts?
