Back on track here with a Frugal Friday post. We have a small shopping area where we live in our big town, pop 4000, and that includes all the farms and all the cows. This main shopping center has a small market, a dollar store and a couple other places I have never really noticed. We usually visit the market and the dollar store but only to get the things I know are reasonable. For the rest we wait to go to Walmart about every other week or so. Well yesterday we went n the Dollar store for bar soap. You don’t even want to know why we have gone through so much bar soap lately. I mean you really don’t want to know. Anyway, while we were there I took a look at their ad. There were several items I buy regularly at a really really good price, better than Walmart. So I purchased them there and saved a bunch of money. So the moral of the story is, no matter where you are, take a look at the ad. But you must have willpower and not buy what isn’t already on your list. And it also helps if you know your prices. I have a post on Bless-my-Budget.com coming up soon on creating a pricebook.
