My Simple Woman’s Daybook For Today… February 9 , 2009
good morning dear April!
Outside my Window… it is overcast but bright and much warmer, the sky was pink this morning
I am thinking… about finishing this baby quilt I am working on and wondering if I will get it done before my new grandbaby arrives, I am so proud of my daughter and her hubby, they have handled this first pregnancy like pros, they ought to both coming from big families, I prayed for them yesterday to know the joy and overcoming love the Lord has given me through being a parent.
I am thankful for… my children
From the kitchen… I hear nothing yet, my Hannah must be in need of some extra sleep, I do not mind a bit, she works hard
From the learning rooms… we are checking out Spelling Power today, has anyone used it?
I am wearing… cozy fleece nightgown
I am reading… nothing at the moment
I am hoping… to finish my sewing, and clean out a closet
I am hearing… peace and quiet
I am creating… new Creatively Simple “How to” books – the newest is how to make butter in the blender, the next is on growing sprouts in a jar
Around the house… no creature is stirring, not even a mouse, but they sure were noisy last night, MUST bring in a cat tonight, I know, gross but part of living in the country!
One of my favorite things… the Love of Jesus
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… lots of blogging, keep checking back at my front page
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you… hmm, let me find one, in a minute here ….. homemade butter

Isn’t homemade butter the best!! We used to buy milk from some friends when they had extra and make butter. It was amazing!! I am thinking I may have to buy some heavy cream (don’t know anyone with a milk cow!!) and make some!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I live surrounded by fields and have mice at certain times of the year. I hate it! Haven’t had any in a while, I guess the ice storm killed them off.
Making butter in a blender sounds interesting. I do not like to eat margarine. I don’t think it is good for you.
Have a wonderful week!

I can handle mice (as long as something is being done, like the cat), it’s the rats our church building used to get that freaked me out!
