More toothpaste here on this Frugal Friday Just like Crystal shared, sometimes it is best to take a break from chasing bargains and wait for them to chase you! Here is one I wasn’t looking for, but it found me.
Remember my toothpaste story awhile back? Well I got it again. This time the buggy full wasn’t as great a find dollarwise, but in some ways it was better. This time it was 99 cents each but they were the very big tubes and they were hubby’s favorite kind. And some even had free toothbrushes included. So yes this was a great find. Now if they were a different kind or smaller tubes i probably wouldn’t have gotten them. I did have the extra $18 on hand, but if I hadn’t would I still get it? Well, let me see. These are usually close to $3 a piece, so you figure I saved $36. So if I try to aportion $10 or so for each supper, and I am saving $36 dollars here it would have been worth it to scrimp a little on a couple meals. Because I gained enough for 3 and a half more meals. Make sense? You have to figure everything with the big picture in mind. For those of you that just can’t get thrugh life without knowing how we manage a ministry, a church, a farm, and a big family all for under $25,000 a year, stay tuned as I share about it on my new blog which is still under construction at www.bless-my-budget.com , it is part of a whole new series of blogs I am working on.
