Here is our famous chicken and noodles recipe, not to be confused with our southern Chicken and dumplins (which are homemade noodles). Hopefully this is easy enough for you Shannon over at Rocks in my Dryer, I hear she can only count to 5 🙂 .
- 3 large chicken breasts, cooked and diced
- 2 large packages brocolli, chopped in large bite size pieces
- 2 bags wide egg noodles
- 6 cups white cream sauce (homemade recipe following)
- 1 bag shredded italian mix cheese
cook noodles, ad add broccoli about half way through, drain, add other ingrediets except cheese, mix well, add a little seasoning of your choice (we put cajun spice in everything) put it all in large casserole dish, top with cheese, bake 15 minutes or until cheese bubbles, of course this recipe will feed an army, or a normal family + an 18 yr old boy
to make your own white sauce, in large sauce pan ove med heat, melt 1 stick butter, add 1 cup flour mix well to make thick paste, slowly add in whole milk stirring well, I would put in about half a gallon, keep stirring as it thickens
