Well, we had a wonderful breakfast the last couple days, homemade yogurt and fresh mulberries. We make homemade yogurt from our own milk and have fruit trees. I have learned to use what the Lord is providing at the moment. But my girls take it one step further. Since we have milk, and eggs, and berries…. lets make ice cream! All they need is sugar and rock salt. Well I usually keep the pantry well stocked so there is sugar, so now they have everything but rock salt. We have 1 box but they know Momma is not running all the way to town (closest store 10 miles) again for at least a few days. So they make the icecream and when it is done they take the ice/salt mix out of the ice cream maker and put it in a plastic container with a lid and stick it back in the freezer! Yep they recycle it! Do I have smart girls or what? So they make ice cream often! We are very creative around here. We use what God povides and we are resourceful. How is that for a Frugal Friday tip?
Yep. Great idea. I am not on the farm yet, but we are moving soon. We will have the means for fresh milk and eggs soon! Thank you Lord! Could you help me…how do you make homemade yogurt and is it the same as a Keifer? I grew up a city girl and have only the knowledge I’m gaining by asking questions and reading everything I can get my hands on! If it’s OK with you, I would like to link to your site so I can come back and visit again [and again]. Have a blessed day!

Sounds like they are usuing their head! We are getting ready to move out to the country and I realize that I will have to get more used to not making frequent trips into town. Your post inspired me that it will be possible.
Blessings,
