There seems to be a spirit of disunity attacking my family. I know exactly where it is coming from, several places actually, outside influences. Ones that are not easily removed. Ones that I don’t know can or should be removed. Sometimes the Lord calls us to remove a situation and sometimes He tells us to overcome it. Hmmm, this one is tough. But anyway the things we are focusing on here now is some teamwork. Not just each person doing their own jobs but helping get all the jobs done together, without being asked. With no complaining, or bickering. And when one is being stubborn, all of us pitching in to help them overcome. Our family has been through some changes over the last few years, and changes don’t always come easy. We know exactly what God has called us to, and trying to focus on that while being persecuted by those we love is tough sometimes. But there is an answer. Love. So my Tackle it Tuesday post today is not about cleaning the fridge, (did that yesterday) but it is about working together.
When I get that tackled, I need to ……. back to that “to do” list. 🙂

What a great tackle! Keeping the family strong is more important than getting things done, so I’m glad you’re focusing on the unity! 🙂

I am so overwhelmed with understanding for you! As people just trying to live a daily life in this world we are attacked from within and without. I think sometimes even if we were a single family of Eskimos living on an ice field in Alaska with no outside contact we would still find something to complain, criticize and condemn about. Or one of us would be whining about melting snow for water. Or one of us would be mad because nobody filled up the ice trays. Sometimes I think a spirit of discord and wickedness comes about when we are tired and out of sorts, and then – -so quickly and sneakily – – it becomes a habit. A habit that can quickly tear a rent in the fabric of the peace in our homes. Dear Lord, please forgive us and help us to be grateful for your blessings and the gift of family!
