Where we live in the south it can get really humid. But our house was built in the 1800’s and back then they thought out where to put a house, so we have a great location. The house is next to a shaded hill beside a creek. So even though we don’t have AC (and we choose not to) the house is usually nice and comfortable. But there is one drawback. The humidity makes the salt shakers clog up. So here is my great tip for today. Add uncooked rice to your salt shakers. It absorbs the extra moisture and keeps your salt shaker shakin! Now that works for me this Wednesday !

I have move recently from the south to Hawaii, the air is extra humid during the rainy season. Is there a better salt shaker to use because I did the uncooked rice thing and the dome still gets clogged. 😕
