dream kitchen contest

This is especially for my Canadian friends, an opportunity to win a dream kitchen makeover . Now this is not one of my personal contests. Even as much as I love you, I can not provide the opportunity to win a $32,000 dream kitchen makeover. But the new Maple Leaf Market site can. And they are also giving away 12 Frigidaire refrigerators. You can enter every day from now until it ends in December. What a dream come true. Check out the site for more details. So, the big question is, if you win, what lovely changes would you make to your kitchen? would you completely rip it all out and start from scratch? Would you change the layout? Would you get new appliances? Would you put in an island with a bar top so your guests can congregate while you are cooking? Would you make your kitchen bigger? I would love some new appliances and a whole new lay out. and new flooring, and new tile countertops and new cabinets. What I would really like is a commercial style kitchen only prettier. Oh and an additional wood cookstove. I love wood cookstoves. Oh goodness I really am dreaming now.

how a blog party works

birthday4 Well, we are about to begin our Blog Party here, and for those who have never participated I thought I would share what it is all about. A Blog Party is similar to an Open House. Friends popping in to say , “Hello”, lots of gifts, and giveaways and freebies being passed out. Hopefully lots of comments, and if you’ll let me know what is going at your house (blog) I will send some folks there to visit too.

As for giveaways, be sure to leave your comments at each giveaway you wish to enter. You can only enter the particular one you left a comment at. If you are my friend on facebook and twitter, just leave a comment saying, “I am already your friend on facebook” you get an extra entry if you share about that particular drawing and can add another comment for it. Likewise with twitter. So yes, it is good, very good if you already subscribe and are already “friends”. Then you are all set and ready to party!

I will also be having some freebie downloads that will be open for just a couple hours each, I will announce each one well in advance, if you are subscribed to my blog by email or feed, you will know when it is coming

My Simple Woman’s Daybook… October 26, 2009

I decided to write this early this morning, this is one of my favorite ways to start the week, keeps my focus right :)

Outside my Window… it is still very dark,

I am thinking… I need to organize my week, lots going on + 3 family birthdays

I am thankful for… my home and family

From the kitchen… my early risers doing schoolwork

From the learning rooms… I need to get some new pc programs since we updated

I am wearing… pink pj’s

I am reading… have lots of good things but busy, reading the Word always

I am hoping… to have a productive week

I am hearing… the woodstove crackling

I am creating… fun stuff, and a blog party this week new books coming Friday  Check my bookstore.

Around the house… there is mostly darkness and quiet as those up have been working quietly

One of my favorite things… my farm, and God’s creation
