Even though there was no food in front of her, and it was taking a really long time, she knew it was coming, and even if we tried we could not have convinced her otherwise. May we have the faith of my dear granddaughter. And with that faith may we patiently but unswervingly hold onto the promises the Lord has laid out before us. Even if we cannot yet see them.

gifts for the King of Kings

All the kings of the earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart. Year after year, everyone who came brought a gift—articles of silver and gold, and robes, weapons and spices, and horses and mules. ~ 2 Chronicles 9:23-24

If that is what they brought to an earthly king, how much more should we give everything to our Heavenly King?

amazing grace and a sunset

I am the LORD, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.

I bring prosperity and create disaster;

Isaiah 45:5-7

I am more in awe at His goodness everyday. Every sunrise and every sunset show His goodness. This picture was taken the other day from our yard, Hannah took it. It was just an average day, yet nothing is average with Jesus. He is creative beyond the most gifted artist. He will get our attention one way or another. He, the Lord does all things. He will do what is best for us. Because of love.

Why is it that our sweet dog can trust imperfect us no matter what, and go where we go without even looking at the impossibilities, and yet mankind often has such a hard time trusting and following a perfect God?
