think it’ll snow?

well the local store still had milk and bread, and in the south that is a better predictor of the weather than any meteorologist around, yet this is what they say

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

What do the words , “stem cell research” mean to you? To me they mean aborted babies. However when I recently read about how cancer victims could be helped with the use of stem cells that did NOT come from babies I had to take another look. Now I still don’t know how I feel about this but I do know that it is not right to be ignorant. In checking it out I found that Cryo-Cell International, Inc is working with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to explore the potential benefits of using menstrual stem cells to treat breast cancer. The partnership is underway to better understand the C’elle stem cells and their potential use for the treatment of breast cancer. I still don’t understand all of this, but I know that God’s word says there is life in blood, so I am trying to sort it all out. He also has very strict regulations about menstrual blood.

C’Elle Breast Cancer Donation will be made for each purchase of the “C’elle Menstrual Stem Cell” service..  They have a Cyro-Cell Breast Cancer Donation that will be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation for each “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” service.

So, where do you stand? Is stem cell research ok if it DOESN’T harm a baby? Should we use the components of blood to heal? Is this the answer to cancer?

talk from the little people

I love to sometimes just sit and listen to my children. This what I am hearing.

Mercy says she is sitting in the kitchen rocker by the wood stove, “like an old granny”.

Georgia wants to know if you can get frostbite when it is 37 outside.

Jacob wonders if he can find any dinosaur bones on our property.

Hannah’s asking if she can make cocoa (we make it homemade).

Moriah is trying to hunt up someone to play Horseopoly. (Think ag economics.)

And on the radio in the kitchen they are talking about someone who had a simple wedding and photo shopped in all the fancy stuff making it look like a big expensive event.

Momma says life is grand.

What are you hearing at your house?

Black friday continues with Charter

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter Communication. All opinions are 100% mine.

Well it happened again yesterday. Yep, my satellite dish that is supposed to provide me great internet was on a union break again. It has actually been behaving itself pretty well lately. But then twice in the last two days I had to reset it which really hinders what I am doing as it takes several minutes to get back up working. And y’all know how I am always doing 10 things at once so that minor interruption hinders 10 things in progress.

So what do I do when my internet comes back up? Check out the Charter internet page of course. Charter’s Daily Deal Web Site . Even though I can’t get internet from Charter way out here in the boondocks, I can get some great prizes from them right now. Somebody forgot to tell them that Black Friday was umm, last Friday. But I won’t tell if you don’t cause they have some great and I mean great deals in progress. What kind of great deals you ask?

Gift cards from big names in electronics, clothing, home, accessories, and restaurants save you shopping $$ this season! After Cyber Monday, they began 38 days of specials. They are giving out great gifts, prizes and deals every day, and every day is something different.  There are tons of chances to win each day. And … you can become a fan of Charter on Facebook. So watch out satellite company, I may just leave you yet.

Christmas ponies

Since y’all enjoyed my pony picture so much yesterday I thought I would show you some more. We have several ponies we are selling this year, they have all been raised here and I really hate to part with them, but they are just too cute to keep to myself. They are all boys and all brothers. They will obviously do anything you ask of them. They are all small though, 36 inches at the withers, that is where their mane ends between the neck and back. So they could be considered mini ponies. Aren’t they adorable?

If you are within driving distance of middle Tn and are interested in a pony, let me know. :)

college from home

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of USC. All opinions are 100% mine.

We have successfully graduated 3 from homeschooling. We actually saw them from learning their letters to graduation. It can be done. homeschooling is not only now popular but an acceptable way of educating. Colleges are happy to accept homeschool graduates as are employers. So why after all that success would a homeschooling family send their young person off to college somewhere else? Why not continue learning at home? Even schools like USC have online programs where students can complete any course they desire and even get a degree from home. Life just gets better all the time. We really promote trade schools for learning most professions, but there are times when a degree might be needed. However there is never a time when all that is involved with college life is needed. The clubs, and parties and such are not something a Godly young person wants to be surrounded by and they have nothing to do with learning. Home is still best. And if graduating at the school of your choice is important, you can even learn online and still graduate on site at schools such as USC, with all of the perks of being an actual on campus student. They have a tuition reimbursement program and an accelerated program you can complete in as little as 12 months here is a link for  program information. Something worth looking into.
