Sorry to nearly dissapear on y’all Friday, things got hectic here. My youngins show their horses and were planning a show for Saturday night. And even though there is a tremendous amount of work ahead of time, it is really stressful on the day of the show because so much has to be done at the last minute. So blogging got put behind my children, right where it should be. Who wants to hear about Godly parently and such if it isn’t happening, right? I can’t share a thing if I am not operating in it. Since my daughters especially will be managers of their own homes one day, I use this event to hone their management skills. They have to plan it all ahead of time, prepare vehicles, trailers, horses, chairs, food for all of us, all of the scheduling of registering for classes, and provide all of the money. We pay for me and hubby’s gate admittance, that is all. Thankfully they filled the truck before the gas panic, and interestingly enough deisel did not go up. Weird huh? Anyway, they did a wonderful job, they even made tea, cookies and popcorn. We could easily spend a small fortune at the concession stand if we didn’t prepare. All of the grooming, loading and preparing of the horses has to be done at the last minute. And horses are very sensitive, if anyone gets stressed they all feel it. And they all act like they feel it, like tempermental showbiz stars. Not to mention it seems like they have some sort of silent communication going on in the horse trailer, they get out looking wierd at each other like somebody has said something wrong. And then there is Dancer, Beaus stallion, who sounds like he is doing a wild tap dance in the trailer the whole way. Anyway, my children did great. They amaze me. One of the horses they used was a freebie we got back in the spring. They trained him, groomed him and now he is one of the stars of the shows. He is also for sale, I will give a pic here in a bit. Anyway, I have lots of bloggy plans this week, along with the Apron winner announcement and some other surprises. Here is my preview of things to come, but there is also a lot more. Stay tuned!
