We like to watch a show on the weather channel called Strangest Weather on Earth, and not too long ago we saw an episode about a rare thing called Frost Flowers, I have also heard them called Ice Blossoms.
Or maybe I just call them that, anyway from Wikipedia
A frost flower is formed when thin layers of ice are extruded from long-stemmed plants in autumn or early winter. The thin layers of ice are often formed into exquisite patterns that curl into “petals” that resemble flowers.
And guess what we have? Yep, right here on our farm during this cold snap we have seen plenty. That is our picture above. They are super interesting. Here is a clip from the show we saw.
