Well I apologize for being missing in action. All those birthdays we have this time of year seem to get me every time. How many, you ask? 9 or is it 10, all within 8 weeks. That is one long party. I love my big family, although it is so different with everyone growing up. Another season, and I have lots to say about that, as soon as it is written I will share it here. But for here we go….

The grass is growing, the fruit trees have bloomed. I really hope we don’t get any more “winters” as they say, or cold snaps. Here they relate the clod snaps to what is blooming, Such as “dogwood winter” when the dogwoods bloom and it gets cold. I am sure we have a few but with the sun shining and everything so green it is hard to be patient.
How are y’all? Getting a garden ready?
This is the first year in as long as I can remember that we are not expecting any foals. I see my friends’ farm pictures with colts and wonder what I was thinking. They are such fun. We are expecting a dairy calf in the fall though. Farm life is fun. I do have a few articles coming up on that subject.
