Well this was interesting to say the least.
First a disclaimer, and some personal opinions. And my opinions are all my own, surprising right?
Please don’t be offended I am making a point here.
I don’t believe in hype.
I do believe Jesus is enough and does not need theatrics.
I don’t like rock music or things that sound like it.
I do love people and my heart breaks for those who do not understand the love of God.
I don’t personally like tattoos, I think we are already the perfection of being made in God’s image and don’t need adding to.
I do believe in Holiness.
I don’t believe we have to act or look like the world to reach the world.
I do believe God can use anyone, that looks like anything, anywhere at any time if they are willing.
I don’t believe there is only one denomination, or only one version of the bible or only one language that God can use.
I do believe that the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are so much more than we can ever completely comprehend in this lifetime.
I don’t believe that God’s people or church, can, will or should all look the same.
I also do believe that only a small percentage of folks, good folks, bad folks, and those in between truly have a one on one relationship with the living God.
I am a homeschooling momma of 8 who lives in TN on a horse farm, but I was raised a pretty liberal California beach bum that later owned high priced hair salons, in Southern California, so I have not lived under a rock all my life. And my opinions do not come from ignorance. They come from prayer and relationship with the Lord about what He personally has spoken to me, for me.
I say all that to say I don’t want to debate. But I do want you to know where I am coming from.
Jesus didn’t just pay a price to get you into Heaven, He paid a price to get Heaven inside of YOU
~ Todd White from the Movie Holy Ghost
Now about the movie. I was once listening to Heidi Baker share a testimony about being in a church setting where they didn’t want to hear a woman preacher but since she was a missionary, and that was ok, they let her share. But she made the mistake of wearing pants. She shared that she had been in the poorest places of Africa ministering for many years and had forgotten the rules. She kinda smiled and said, ” I really want you to hear what the Lord is doing in Africa, but if you can’t get past the fact that I am a woman and wearing pants then close your eyes while I share.” She had a really good point.
If strange looking people hinder you from hearing the voice of God you might want to close your eyes while you watch at least the first half of this movie, because it opens up with some of the strangest I have seen in awhile. Not being disapproving just being honest. Get past it. God is in it He can and will use anything and anyone to reach His people. And while I did not personally appreciate every little bit of this movie, I did recognize His voice, and His Spirit of love in much of it. And it did remind me that He will go to great lengths for each and every one of us.
Because He loves us. He truly does.
So if you need a good kick in the pants and a reminder that there are people out there that need Jesus and that is is ok to step out of your comfort zone, check this out. You will be entertained at first and inspired as you go along, and by the end, you will hopefully be reminded that if you know Him, you should being showing that on a daily basis. Some how, some way.
I especially appreciated the part with Jake Hamilton in it, I had never heard of him.
Alright now, who wants a DVD? I will chose a winner on Sept 8th. So to enter below with a comment briefly or at length sharing your personal testimony or asking for me to contact you if you don’t have one and would like to talk about it, or how you would use this movie to bless others.

Great review. I agree totally. There were some srange things, but overall it was evident the the Holy Spirit was at work in this movie. And the love shown toward the broken and the hurting and the lost was very apparent. We enjoyed atching it online when they had their special preview event.,
