making hard work look beautiful ~ review and giveaway

Living on a farm is fun, in fact lots of fun, but it is also hard work and let’s face it sometimes hard workers look like hard workers. Girls get get muscles and tans and callouses, but we also clean up nice. However sometimes hardworking hands don’t look as pretty as we would like to keep them looking.

Well have I got news for you in that department. Recently a friend, Misty Marr from Jamberry Nails sent us some Jamberry nail wraps. What are Jamberry Nail wraps you ask? They are non toxic vinyl nail wraps that come in very fun designs, designs you could not do with a polish unless you had all day and a lot of talent. And miniature brushes. And did I say all day? Alllll day it would take to paint these. But you don’t have to. Because these are easy. And they are affordable.

The mail came, I opened the box, and my daughters disappeared.

For a long time. A very long time.  Because they were having fun.

And I heard “oohs” and “ahhhs” and giggles.

And when they finally reappeared, they said, “Mom we love these we need more, get us more, MORE! ”

Out of 5 daughters only 2 remain at home, the rest are married with children of their own. And the two left don’t always enjoy lots of time together, they are 11 and 17 so their interests don’t always overlap. They both ride and well but they are different, one more adventurous and the other more studious. So I love when they do things together, and this was one of those experiences. And they had fun. And they loved it, which made this momma happy. Oh and there was no mess. And they read instructions and applied everything all by themselves. So yes these Jamberry nail wraps are Momma approved.

And then the big test. After washing dishes by hand, and lots of house chores and lots of farm chores, and rodeos, and horse handling and everything else that goes along with living on a farm, they still look great! they probably don’t last as long with all of our hardworking activity but they last lots longer than polish. And I don’t worry about things being spilled on my nice barnwood furniture. And I don’t have to smell yucky stuff. and they are pretty.
