Back in February I decided to implement some changes in my life. I had been very athletic in my young adult days, but had a couple injuries, a knee surgery, then a booming career, then had 8 children (the best part). Well busy turned to busier and I never really got back into working out. I could keep up with the best of them during most activities but I had gained a lot of weight and was just not feeling good. So I did what I know to do. Go back to the basics. 20 minutes of exercise once daily makes a difference. Twice daily makes a better difference. Taking the laptop on the treadmill makes time go by faster and one day I noticed I had walked 5 miles without really even trying. It took forever, but I decided to make that my daily goal. To walk, jog or hike at least 5 miles every day. Every single day. Some days I walk and pray, some days I walk and worship, some days I walk and visit on facebook, some days I walk and watch a movie. But every day my goal is 5 miles, some days I even make 10 . But usually it is between 5-7. You can actually use a laptop on the treadmill with a SurfShelf Treadmill Desk and Laptop Holder . It is making a difference. I am better able to cope with some of the nonsensical people in my life who have chosen to make bad decisions. I have lost weight, and several sizes. I am sleeping better. I am more at peace. Unfortunately I have been writing less but I am getting back to it more and more.
Try adding some consistent exercise to your life, it works for me this Wednesday, and everyday!
and .. your thoughts?
