2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
I love this time of year, and one of my favorite signs is when the daffodils appear. Here in the south we call them buttercups. They are not like rose bushes where the plant resides but gets a new bloom. No actually every year a new sprout comes up and new blooms blossom. A flower where there has never been one before.
I have a past. Yep an ungodly, used to be a sinner past. And while it may be more colorful than some and less colorful that others it is nontheless a past. When I accepted Jesus as in, “I will GIVE my entire life for you, I will die for you and I will LIVE for you” I no longer existed as that same person. Jesus didn’t clean me up or give me a makeover. I became a new person. All the things I did previously are no longer attached to me. All the mistakes I made are not mine anymore. No wonder it feels like it was another life, it was! I am a NEW CREATION! Yay!

Great post! I too have a past. I like how you point out it is not a makeover, but a new creation! Love it!
Oooh! Amen! Who needs a makeover when we have His blood–the cross!
That was so good. Perfect analogy.

And when we are a new creation, then there is no condemnation………what a Life we have in Him.
In Australia I am about to plant my bulbs and some in the ground are just poking little bits of green through as the summer ends and Autumn (fall to you folks) begins.
It is hard to say whether Autumn or Spring is my favorite.
At the moment I am luxuriating in roses.
