I told y’all that I would share Georgia’s method of making chimichangas, so here goes. A chimichanga is just a fried burrito with a beautiful presentation.
Start with some wonderful filling, in this case it was shredded chicken with cooked rice and peppers. Sometimes it is cooked ground beef and refried beans.
Then she puts the filling in a flour tortilla and rolls it up, tucking both ends. Then she fries them in just a bit of oil until brown.
Then she puts it on a plate and tops with sauce and cheese and sour cream with a bit of salsa. She surrounds it with lettuce. Isn’t that beautiful? Tastes even better 🙂 . Have I told you before that I have incredible daughters?
