What is a Momma to do? We feed or children healthy, keep them out of ghettos and public schools, teach them right from wrong and then this?
By Jeff Donn, Martha Mendoza and Justin Pritchard, Associated PressA vast array of pharmaceuticals — including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and hormones — have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows.To be sure, the concentrations of these pharmaceuticals are tiny, measured in quantities of parts per billion or trillion, far below the levels of a medical dose. Also, utilities insist their water is safe.
But the presence of so many prescription drugs — and over-the-counter medicines like acetaminophen and ibuprofen — in so much of our drinking water is heightening worries among scientists of long-term consequences to human health.
In the course of a five-month inquiry, the AP discovered that drugs have been detected in the drinking water supplies of 24 major metropolitan areas — from Southern California to Northern New Jersey, from Detroit to Louisville
Water providers rarely disclose results of pharmaceutical screenings, unless pressed, the AP found. For example, the head of a group representing major California suppliers said the public “doesn’t know how to interpret the information” and might be unduly alarmed.

We knew there were unsafe amounts of birth control hormones in the water turning the fish into “its” neither female nor male, but now we find out there is more, much more. You will excuse me if I don’t believe them when they say the water is safe to drink. More than half of society is already drugged by choice, whether they get it legally or not. Now we have to tolerate it in the water. Can it get any worse? And something else I find interesting, this story was the top headline on my hometown paper, and easily found on every major news source except CNN, they are silent on it. Why is that? The earth is not self-destructing, we are killing it. What about all you earth loving politicians? What are you going to do about this one. I know saving babies is not on your agenda, but what about all the fish being maimed? Mr. Gore, where are you?
Disgusting.
And we just watched a PBS Nature about this very thing. They all KNOW it is happening to the fish and frogs and are turning a blind eye.
We have well water, but with the faithful Monsanto-users around here, it probably isn’t filtered enough into the ground.
You are correct, we are killing the Earth. With all of our education and man-made technology, we are denying God’s ways to preserve it and live.

Among other endeavors, I’ve got a blog about water quality issues. I’ve been talking about prescription drugs in our water, and rocket fuel in our water, and a whole host of other strange substances in our water that the EPA is choosing to ignore. And not only that, but the plastic in plastic water (and soda) bottles contains estrogen that is helping to delay puberty for many of our boys.
Pretty sobering.
