Well, it has been a few days of 2009 here. 5 to be exact. Long enough to consider and ponder. What are my plans personally? Well I have several different areas in my life and each has different plans. But overall it all boils down to te same thing. Live, love, and bask in the goodness of God. But for the sake of order, and God loves order, I will attempt to put things in a readable list.
- Spend more time loving my children and cherishing each moment with them.
- Write things in a more thought out way, or reorganize after I ramble.
- Organize my life more from my prayer closet.
- Be slower to speak even when it is coming from God.
- Put the behind the scenes of my blogs in order.
- Learn more.
- Overcome this extra weight with prayer.
- Write the book on parenting that the Lord put on my heart years ago that I have been putting off until at last one of my children was grown. It is time.
- Enjoy sitting still holding my grandchild, I have a hard time sitting still.
- Learning to sit still.
Hmmm, what are your goals? Thoughts? Plans? Is God in the center of it all.

Great thoughts for the new year! I can relate to most of those. Prayer does work for items like #7. He provides me strength when I need it. There’s a freedom in talking to God about our weight issues. He brings much needed perspective.

yes Anne-Marie you are so right, and it is the only thing that will work in my case, when I was young and obsessively vain I really messed up my metabolism, I have repented and He knows my heart and I know not to focus on my looks. It is all about Him and not about me 🙂 I have been praying for a long time and I know He hears and knows what is best for me and I know I am loved no matter what size I wear.

Yes, you should write that book on parenting. Even if you write it for your chidrens’ sakes when they are parents, it needs to be written. I am editing a book for a friend that she is writing on the same topic. She is about in the same phase of life you are in.
About loosing weight: my mother started a Bible study called: First Place that really helped her.
