Worker dies at Long Island Wal-Mart after being trampled in Black Friday stampede

Police tape surrounds a Wal-Mart that was the scene of a deadly stampede.
A Wal-Mart worker died after being trampled when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island store Friday morning, police and witnesses said.
The 34-year-old worker, employed as an overnight stock clerk, tried to hold back the unruly crowds just after the Valley Stream store opened at 5 a.m. …….read the rest here
And the crowd continued on rushing in the door all to get that “good deal” as emergency workers tried to save the mans life. He was pronounced dead at 6:03 this morning.

Wow… that is crazy… I hadn’t heard about this yet. What a shame! Something needs to change.
I don’t go out for Black Friday. I did maybe 8 years or so ago just 2 get a DVD player for cheap. But I will never do it again. I hate shopping anyway, I would rather do it all online.

Oh no :(. This is far too sad. Noticed your Toys R’ Us post too. A couple of years ago there was a man with a gun in the Toys R’ Us in the BIG city near us (800,000) thankfully no one was shot. We had been there just before this event.

I can’t handle the news the last couple weeks.
The story about the 19-year-old boy committing suicide while 1300+ people watched, taunted, and cheered, followed by this makes me ill.
I hold great hope for America in my heart. I don’t like this path that we (the entire world) is on.
