The more I hear about Sarah Palin the more I like. And most of the really good stuff is intended to be bad. Now they ( whoever is behind media thinking ) are squawking about her taking her children along on “official business.” Well I got news for them, when you are an honest to goodness family Mom or Dad, your family is your support system, your friends, your assistants, and an actual part of who you are, and that is about as official as it gets. And besides anytime the media starts talking bad about someone I take notice, all too often it is a good thing. And this news is a VERY good thing. She is not entertaining other men, or committing some crime. She is being a good Mom and a public leader all at the same time. Something that is rarely seen. But no, the media won’t have that. They figure if they are going to have a Christian woman leader they want to make a “super feminist” out of her, you know, “get rid of the kid” thinking. She is not just a mother in word, but she is a mother in action. And I know I don’t live in Alaska, but if I did I would be proud to be paying for her children to travel with her. Tax payer money should be spent on good things, and this IS A GOOD THING. I bet all those travel costs are less than the alcohol bill of just one average drinking senator. Or whatever. Do ya get my “whatever?”
It seems to me they are scraping the bottom of the barrel here. Could it be they are worried? This election is getting easier to predict everyday.
Back last year when my mom was nearing the end of her life hear on earth, I needed to go to CA. A “family member” offered to pay my way. But when said family member found out I intended to take two of my children with me the offer was recinded. My children are my support system, my best friends and my prayer partners. This “family member” was never asked to pay for the extra tickets, but wouldn’t even pay for mine after finding out I was taking them. Turned out better anyway. But I have found that when something tries to seperate a mother from her children, it is satan speaking. The family unit scares him to death.

Well said! Mamas and babies belong together wherever they are! The family is the hub of our society- not only is Satan scared of it- so are certain segments of our country. Sometimes the truth hurts.

I see that Charlie Black and the McCain campaign have already tested the story and that it comes out a winner among Hillary women voters who appreciate a working mom’s dilemma. Here was the post from McCain insider Martin Eisenstadt (same guy who leaked the Joe the Plumber story):

I totally agree! Sarah Palin is a wonderful woman- but just because she is not pro-abortion, they all hate her. Turns out when they said “women can do anything” they meant “after women either kill or hand off their children, they can do anything” yuck.
my kids go with my everywhere- not always all of them (we’ve got 5), but always the youngest for sure. last year when my baby was a few months old I had an overnight to run for 10 local Girl Scout troops- I poped her in a wrap on my back and did the night- so many moms were saying they couldn’t do it, or saying that I shouldn’t even be there- why? it is like some people see kids as handicaps instead of natural parts of our lives.
I, too, love Sarah Palin more and more- only wish she would be running for President rather than vp! 😛

I love your last comment there:

So true! I didn’t have my kids to let someone else be around them so I could “be free” and “be myself.” I don’t understand women who think that way.
