Internet Safety for Children

Technology has improved rapidly in the last decade. Less than fifteen years ago, the idea of an internet connecting people from all over the globe seemed like a fairy tale.

Today, it is a reality and it has certainly changed our lives for the better. We can communicate and share photos with others at the speed of light, we have instant access to a base of knowledge that is far superior than we ever imagined, and we can even conduct business from the comfort of our own homes.

However, this technology has also brought some dangers into our homes. No longer do we have to worry about strangers approaching our children when they are out of sight, we also have to worry about strangers approaching our children through our internet connections.

We also have to worry about another problem we never had to face as children: cyber bullying. Once reserved for the school yard, bullying can now take place online and have have horrible effects on our children.

Can We Really Allow Our Children To Use The Internet, Without Putting Their Safety AT RISK??

You want to give your children the best life possible and keep them safe from danger! You want your children to have the information the internet allows, without any harmful side effects. You want your children to have the benefits of modern technology, yet still have a peaceful, happy childhood.

Is this possible? Can we really keep our children safe in the information age?

The fact is, our children lead much different, faster paced lives than we did… While we may want to keep them away from the internet in order to protect them, they need to be familiar with technology in order to do well in school… There are ways to integrate technology safely into your children’s lives!!
