Next week the local GM plant will close. Thousands in this small community will lose their jobs. The county here is much bigger than when the plant which was a Saturn plant at that time was built, but it is sill a small community compared to big city areas. The population of the entire county is estimated at 81,938. That is still pretty small for a county. The plant closing here will affect every family one one way or another in the entire county and those surrounding it. Some folks will feel fear and despair. But I am a rebel at heart.
