We love ice cream, probably too much, but if made homemade with good ingredients it isn’t too bad. The only problem is that on a hot day one can get impatient. Here is my method that takes about the same time as a trip to the local country store. And mine is a whole lot healthier. I use this great Ice Cream maker that requires no salt. Love that part. Momma’s Instant Ice Cream
As usual, nothing is exact. Experiment and have fun.
3 cups cream, or half and half but the more cream the better, 2 egg yolks, 2 T vanilla, the real stuff, and about 3/4 cup real maple syrup, whip that all up till mixed well, put in fridge or freeze just for a bit, you want to start with it cold, then use this nice little maker and tell me if that isn’t the best ever 🙂 we have cows so we use fresh real cream, and I don’t really measure so you will have to see if you like it sweeter or less, but trust me on the double vanilla, you can add fruit (adjust sweetness accordingly) or dark cocoa powder, just don’t add so much as to overflow your maker, enjoy
