Since we get so many interesting pictures of local wildlife I figured I would start sharing with y’all. Tonight in our garden we found a Common Gartersnake. It’s official name is Thamnophis sirtalis . This one had a red tongue. It has recently gotten colder here, the low will be in the mid 20’s tonight so we were a bit surprised to see him as we gathered what could be the last of the peppers from the garden. Common Gartersnakes are harmless.
