We had a doozy of a southern storm last night, I remember when we first moved to TN nearly 20 years ago, the first storm like this we heard. The next day we thought it would be headline news, but everyone acted like it was every day stuff. It didn’t take too long to figure out that ll those special effects guys in Hollywood don’t have a thing on God in the storm creating abilities. And the Lord seems to enjoy displaying all that creativity as a special show for us folks in the bible belt. The thunder and lightning were simultaneous and right on top of us. Our biggest baddest Livestock Guardian Dog who fights off packs of coyotes came running in the house whimpering, she has never ever been in the house before, except once in the bathtub when she was a pup. And all of my children who refuse to sleep downstairs even during a tornado warning, came down without me asking. Yep our God can create some excitement. He can also create some peace and calm, because today is beautiful, and peaceful. There is a huge pot of homemade chicken soup simmering on the stove, and there are two buckets of bread dough ready to bake for later. One White Artisan, and Whole Wheat Sourdough.
