We have and enjoy other music from FFH. We’d love this one as well and how fitting it would be – as we are a US military family stationed Far From Home overseas. In fact, it’s been very difficult to focus on Thanksgiving, which isn’t even here yet, because the retailers here in England set Christmas out in the stores late September. So, if our family is gifted with this CD, it would be lovely to listen to after the tree goes up this weekend. I am sure whoever wins it will enjoy it. being thankful

As thanksgiving approaches here in the US, I want to encourage y’all with something.

On Thanksgiving Day here folks are thinking of all they are grateful for, they are thankful. They do their best, share their best and put first things first. They pray like they don’t on other days.

I challenge you to approach every day like that.

Thank Him each day for all He has already done before asking for anything. And while we are at it, how about thanking Him for all the things He has not done for us, because He knows what is best.

And always thank him for His grace.

time for Christmas music yet??

We don’t do much Christmas celebrating around here, in fact you probably wouldn’t say we do any, but since it is a time of year when most folks have softer hearts we do share the Love of Christ to more open folks. Any way the Lord wants to work is fine with us.

I recently received a download for this new music by FFH and I wanted to share with you. If you like music that is winter timey, some nostalgic and traditional songs and hymns about the Lord all wrapped into one CD you will love it. It is called One Silent Night and includes titles like “Winter Wonderland,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and “Jingle Bell Rock,” among others, and some new tracks including “The Birthday of a King,” “Glorious Impossible,” and “One Silent Night.”

I really like the 1940’s feel of a few of the songs. If you like Holiday/ Seasonal music you will want to take a listen. I am sure this will be a classic to get out year after year.

So, are you ready to cozy up to a nice warm fire yet? I know I am, in fact we are looking forward to snow. Ha ha not seeing any coming yet, but looking forward to it Smile .

Listen my son

Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.

The other day it was raining and hubby rearranged his schedule to do some much needed automotive work. He is not a mechanic, but with the help of Jesus he can be for the day. Jacob is now getting big enough for us to recognize some of the giftings the Lord has given him and one of them is that he is very engineering. He can take things apart and put them back together and find better ways of doing it all in the process. It is not just a fun thing it is a real God gift, you can almost see the wheels spinning in his head when he gets that “thinking” look on his face. So hubby grabbed him and said he was going to help him. Jacob didn’t think it sounded like much fun but I explained to him that daddy had wisdom Jacob needed to learn, and Jacob had a gift from God that his daddy needed. They were changing the water pump in the 12 passenger van. In an old pickup it would have been a piece of cake but in a big van you have to take quite a few parts off to get to it, not to mention one of those big crazy belts that makes everything work. But you know what? With the instruction of Jacob’s father, and the teaching of Jacob’s mother and the gifting that God put in Jacob and a whole lot of inspiration from Jesus the job got done. Amazing things happen when we all work together in God’s order. They also fixed an electrical problem that had been giving us a fit and did some work on one of the pick-ups too. Very productive homeschooling rainy day.
