Facebook and other social media sites appear to be here to stay
so we might as well educate ourselves and our families on how to
use them safely. When the internet first became popular many families especially homeschooling families shied away from it. After many years we now see the incredible value in it use but we also see the dangers. Social sites like Facebook, MySpace and others can also have great benefits but can be extremely dangerous if not used safely. With some knowledge they can be used safely. caring for neighbors

Yesterday my daughters went to help our dear dear elderly neighbors on their farm. We absolutely love these folks and consider it such a blessing to be able to help them. Years ago when they were stronger and more able I told  my son that even if he never got paid a dime it would be worth a college education to just follow this man around. My words have been proven true over and over again. This elderly farmer is the most amazing guy. He can find a way to so just about anything. Anything except stay younger longer. He and his wife are slowing down. They are in their 80′s and it about breaks our heart to see them not able to do things the way they like them done. Last winter he had some heart problems and took a fall. It was quite scary. I wish they had a Medical Guardian  Alert System. They are great for anyone who is getting older or has been sick. It helps them stay in their homes longer and enables them to maintain the lifestyle they love without having to think about assisted living. Anyone can have a fall and there are ways to prevent it, such as handrails and no loose rugs but face it, it does happen. Older folks especially are at risk for falls and that alone is a great reason to have an alert system. What if Mom has a fall at home? An alert system can save a life.

wow over 50 books in my bookstore by me!

Well, I was going through my bookstore today and thinking about organizing it a bit. for the last couple years I have been busy just writing and writing. In addition to the hundreds of articles which seriously need to be organized, I was surprised when I counted up all of my published ebooks to find there is over 50 of them! And my How to Find Repos reports package has 50 reports in it and I only counted it as one!

It is amazing how quickly things add up when we just obey what the Lord has said and just do it! Anyway I have more new ebooks coming out tomorrow and one of them will be free.

I heart Linens ‘n Things and a coupon

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Linens ‘N Things. All opinions are 100% mine.

Wow, I visited the  Linens ‘N Things site this morning and found about a million things I like. I think I could get lost in that site. Just this past year I have been purchasing some things that I had been putting off forever. You know sometimes we go without things for so long then we get them and wonder why we went without them? I don’t mean frivolous things but needed things. Take for instance, not long ago I purchased a fancy heavy duty mixer for my kitchen. I got a really good deal but it was still rather costly. It gets used everyday in my house. For years we just got a new cheap one way too often. And when I bought the good one I honestly cold not remember why I had put it off for so long. It is a necessary tool in my house. The same with garden tools. For years we struggled with cheap weedwackers, until one day while working in the garden the Lord spoke to me and said for real jobs you need real tools. He was talking about garden tools but also about prayer :) . After catching the revelation I dropped everything and went to buy a professional tool. We have a big farm. Why do we do that? Anyway, towels are another thing. why buy a cheap towel every two month when you can get a good one that will last and look nice and end up costing half as much in the long run. Anyway today I have been looking at towels and bath rugs. I should have known better to buy that last bath rug at the dollar store. Ugh. Anyway I am wandering off the bath rug page because they have so many other things too, even outdoor stuff. I would love comments on your favorite items there. Oh and here is a goody for you! The coupon below is only good through June 1.
