Am I the only one who has gone overboard watching the weather this year? The weather has gotten so strange you really can’t go overboard about it. Especially for those of us who live rural, what we do on a daily basis really depends on what the weather is doing. we plan our schedules around it. We plan our budgets around it. For some folks a quick look at the weather report at AccuWeather is simply needed to know whether to take an umbrella or not. Not so for us. We need to know pretty reliably what the week ahead holds. During the summer months we cut hay by the weather schedule, we need several dry sunny days in a row, and watching the weather report tells us when we will have them. A rainstorm that we are unprepared for can cost us thousands of dollars. Likewise in the winter, when we know snow is coming we can put out extra feed for the livestock, and not be caught having to do so much when it is actually snowing.
Weather watching isn’t just a hobby around here is is a necessary part of everyday life. Accuweather helps male it easier, and I love their lifestyle areas.
