busy mom’s bible ~ real deal review

As part of a promotion I received this bible free to review, my opinions as always are my own
.
Beautiful! I tend to collect Bibles. Don’t worry I also give tons of them away. not as many as my dear hubby who has been known to give his favorite to a hitchhiker, but I do keep extras to give. However this one is a keeper, two toned pink leather and beautiful!
I don’t use print bibles as much as I used to, I mostly use online biblegateway or Swordsearch which I have installed on my laptop, but I love having a handy print bible nearby at all times. This one is NIV which is my favorite version. Now some folks would be upset by that but I guarantee you I probably know more Hebrew and Greek than those ‘most folks’ and i would rather spend my time studying things there than trying to figure out some obscure King James word. King James was no bible scholar himself, that translation was a political move. It is the Spirit that teaches and I am in tune with the Spirit of God, so reading a bible in my own language is not harmful. Enough said there.
I also love study bibles, and this one has great notes. I know that the notes are someone’s opinions and I know I don’t have the market in understanding God so I love to hear what others have to say also. This one has good notes. They make you want to study more. In my opinion a good bible draws you in and makes you want to read further and his one does just that. It has a concordance and a topical index. And it has maps! I love maps!
When this came in the mail, I thought I would review it and pass it along to someone else, but sorry folks I am keeping it
. Maybe they will give me one to give away. If I had a mom I would get her this for Mother’s Day!
disclaimer- while I was not paid for this post I did receive a free bible and I enjoy it very much! you can get more info here
