If that is my solution you are right, I am in trouble! So far that is the only thing even close. Where I live we can get dial up, at 1/3 the normal slow speed, or satellite which is Hughes and normally worse than bad. Charter has a cable about a mile from here and regularly sends us stuff saying we can get it but when the guy comes he says it isn't here yet (he also says they have been saying anyday now for several years.) No phone line DSL here either, can you imagine that, this is America, we should all have options!

I feel for you with slow response time on the internet and I pray your answer will come soon. However, I have to say that Charter would not be my first choice.

We had Charter in California and I was ecstatic to find that they were not the ones holding the monopoly on cable internet here in Arizona. We had high speed internet alright, when it worked. What we had mostly was problems with installation, all three services, billing, customer service, you name it. And we were not the only ones.

I looked them up on the internet and found that they had a class action law suit against them for several of the same issues we had. In fact, they had preprinted Hallmark apology cards they sent out when you complained a certain number of times.

I had so many problems with them that I had a several page Microsoft Word doc I called the Charter Incompetence Log where I kept track of all the people I spoke with, what they said, what they didn't do and what times I spoke with them. They were so awful the first few months that we didn't pay a bill for 6 months due to all the compensation they gave us for not having service!

So you may look on it instead, perhaps, as a blessing.
