I am reading through the new August Digest from Econobusters and really liking what I see! Each month they put out a new digest full of articles.
First off this month there is a bit of Betty Crocker history that is really interesting. Then some great make-a-mix type recipes including one for un-canned cream soup mix. I really don’t like the ingredients in canned cream soups but I know they are so tempting to use in recipes. There are also several other recipes intended to make a busy Momma’s life easier including spice mix recipes. There are great side notes too, including a list of things that are usually on sale this time of year. It wasn’t on the list but the things that were reminded me that this coming weekend is a tax-holiday. I really needed to know that as I am planning to purchase a new computer. Thank you Molly!
Next up was some financial advice that was encouraging. But my favorite this month was the decorating article. You will be amazed and inspired by what can be done with old hymnals. As usual we were reminded of all the holidays and special dates in August. Can you name even 2 without looking? I couldn’t either 
.
Finally we get onto some organizing. There are tons of step by step instructions for organizing a closet, to de-cluttering a garage and of course organizing the kitchen. The organizing section could have been a digest all it’s own. Before I even read about organizing my mail and papers and photos I was chomping at the bit to get started. But I finished reading just so I could tell you all about it!
