where is your treasure aka time?

Some folks say we have to have a day “Holy unto the Lord” . Personally I say we need to have a life “Holy unto the Lord”. I think everyday should be spent with Him and for Him.

But let’s get real, most folks realistically cannot even set aside an hour for Him weekly. I cry as I write this because I feel His pain. We had a son that died several years ago. As usual when I cry out to the Lord he repeats back to me. As I cried to him saying, I miss my son, He said “I miss my children, tell them I miss them”. He thrives on time with us. Personal one on one time. It is called fellowship. Jesus weeps. He weeps over the time you do not give Him. He weeps because He misses your fellowship. Like a husband weeps when his wife has left him for another man. Like a parent weeps when their child has left for another state. He weeps. He weeps daily when we do not have time for Him.

We were created to “walk with God.”

But so many have gone astray and let idols, yes idols govern our time. What is your idol you ask? That is easy, what do you spend the most time doing? Where does your money go? What is your habit? What is your passion?

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.   Matthew 6:21
