how is your heart?

“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 17:9-10

Have you ever heard someone say they are going to heaven because they have a good heart? There is a huge difference between what we think is good and what God thinks is good. King David committed several sins and yet was described as a man after God’s own heart. So it can’t be that God describes “good” as sinless. God sees a willing heart as good. But even that isn’t good enough to get us into heaven. There is but one way, to recognize that alone you have made a mess of your life and that you are in need of a savior. And then call on the only who can save you.
