Simple Woman’s Daybook April 13

My Simple Woman’s Daybook  For Today… April 13 , 2009

good morning dear April! who is now a new Momma, and has made me a Grandmomma!

Outside my Window… it is warm and humid and very green, grow grass, grow!

I am thinking… and processing the past whirlwind two weeks, and appreciating having not much to do this week

I am thankful for… peace

From the kitchen… I smell coffee

From the learning rooms… everybody is reviewing

I am wearing… gray fleece nightgown, but I got some new jammies! I like to write this early in the morn usually before most get up
I am reading… something new I can’t tell you about yet

I am hoping to not leave home more than once this week

I am hearing… a clock tick, that means it is really quiet
I am creating… a bunch of new e-books and websites

Around the house… I am letting them sleep in, but I don’t see the pregnant cow where she usually is, which means someone needs to find her, they often go off in the woods to calve

One of my favorite things…my family

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… I have lots going on in my bookstore and some new things I am working on but am moving s l o w  this week… keep checking back at my front page. More birthdays!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…  hhhmmm, let me see, this is one of my newest creations, another diaper cake for a friends shower!

  • I did not know that cows go off into the woods. Whenever I think of a barnyard or farm animal giving birth I always think of them doing so in a barn. A traditional red barn.Goes to show how little I really know. Don’t know why this really sparked my brain waves today, but I thank you for sharing! :o )

he he, yes pretty much every farm animal loves to “hide out” when birthing if possible, in fact horses even if kept in the barn will rarely give birth in front of anyone they have a knack for birthing in that short time you go to the house for more coffee even if you have been watching non stop for days, we have been there within minutes after tons of times but never during a horses birth, many farms have video cameras for their birthing stalls for the horses. Cows aren’t that picky but given the choice they will head for the woods, but with dairy cows you have to give them a tube of calcium gel right after birthing so you need to keep track of them.

  • hello from France ,
nice to come to meet you each week
