So the big news today is that folks will start seeing more money in their paychecks. Well for one thing it doesn’t do a thing for us self-employed folks. But the second things is, at what expense? Nothing is for free. We will pay big for this.
When I was young I read a book about how to be happy, it was by some big author who was popular at the time. It wasn’t necesarrily a Christian book but it was full of Biblical Principles. Two things I read that have stuck with me for over 20 years were these.
- Whatever is most important in your life is what you will be most successful at.
- To be happy we need enough money for basic necessities, food, clothing, shelter, everything above that causes extra stress.
I have found these principles to be very true. How about you?
Oh and as an extra hint … make Jesus the most important thing in your life, He can easily handle all the rest for you.

Penny,
These are great principles, regardless of the times.
Do you remember the book you read?
