The last couple of days I have been working on new ebook, ones like “How to Make Homemade Donuts” and it has reminded me of two really important things I wanted to share today for Frugal Friday. This is a big reason we keep our grocery bills so low. There are some weeks I only spend $25 at the grocery store and some weeks I don’t go at all. And we feed a crowd! Including an 18 yr old son who eats enough for 5 young men. So here they are;
- keep a stocked pantry, buy in bulk or when things are on sale, if yo keep our pantry stocked you can make good meals and are not tempted to run to the store, it doesn’t have to be stocked with expensive stuff, but at least the basics, flour, sugar, beans, rice, pasta, onions, tomato sauce, spices and so on, and by pantry I really mean freezer too, chicken leg quarters, ground beef, cheese, whatever your staples are
- cook at home, which is only possible if you follow #1 , but the more you cook at home the better cook you will become and the more you will want to eat at home, we cook so good around here nobody wants to eat out!
I have great things going on, check my front page

we just don’t eat junk food at my house. not that we’re so incredibly healthy – a bag of potato chips just doesn’t last past a day, so why bother buying them at all?
