All of the contests are over I will be announcing winners soon. My Blessing Sale continues through Wed. We are gearing up for hubby’s birthday. So I may be in and out till monday. We will see. Lovely weather here today and tomorrow, then “wintery mix” again Monday, that means snow, ice and freezing rain. Will winter this year ever end? Been the longest and coldest I can ever remember. The horses are holding up well though, some of or older ones have a hard time during very cold winters. We have a few that are 20 or close. …… more later.

the commercial NBC is afraid to air at the Super Bowl

NBC has rejected a pro-life ad for the Super Bowl, citing its policy not to run ads involving “political advocacy or issues.”

The 30-second television spot, a project of CatholicVote.org and financed by The Fidelis Center for Law & Policy, actually emerged just before the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote.org, explains there is nothing objectionable in its “life-affirming” message, which features ultrasound pictures of a baby in a mother’s womb.

dented cans

We went to our local market last night to grab a couple things after church and decided to get a couple cans tomato sauce to make chili. We usually get the big gallon can size. Well last night they were all dented, every one of them. I know this store and the owners and the cans looked ok so we got a couple anyway. When we got to the check out I asked the girl if they give a discount for dented cans. Guess what? I got then half price! My only mistake was not being smart enough to go get the rest. A gallon of tomato sauce for $1.69 is a very good deal.
