On this Frugal Friday I have a reminder for you.
time=money
For each of us our time is worth different amounts, it depends on what season of life you are in. In some seasons we have more money, in other seasons we have more time. Let me give you an example. Say your hubby is a professional who makes $40 per hour. And he needs a job done that he could do himself or pay a local neighbor boy $20 for the whole day. Say it is raking all the leaves. Would it make sense for the $40 per hour guy to take off work to rake leaves? Not in the economic sense. But then again, if he were to do it with his wife and little children and they all had the time of their lives and sat on the porch drinking hot cocoa when done then yes.
The problem is we all too often let outside sources determine the value of our time, when it should be us to determines it. The newer your marriage is and the younger your children are the more your time is worth.
For me since having children, time is worth much more than money, and I have had times of lots of money and times of not much money. So I can compare fairly. I am glad I have made the choices to value time. My rewards are incredible children.

read a good book lately? I have plenty
This is one of those posts I will be adding to
Especially this time of year, we are going to see ads everywhere. The companies behind those ads expect to pay someone for each and every ad you see. So I say us mommas should be getting some of that money. Mommas talking to mommas are probably the best form of promoting products or in some cases de-promoting products.
Did you know that nearly every time you click on a link anywhwere somebody makes an affiliate commision? So why shouldn’t it be us? If we make the money we spend it on things like caring for our families or spreading the gospel. If “other folks” make the money they might spend it on bad things like promoting yucky stuff. Read between the lines there, I am not gong to put that word on here. Every word on a bog is subject to search engines and if you want to attract a wrong crowd, use wrong words, even if you use them in the right context.
Remember as always, our motives must stay pure. My motive is to find newer and better things that help us serve our families for less. My motive is to bless my friends not take advantage of them. My motive is to be the one to get the piece of the advertising budget the companies we shop with have already allotted to go to someone, someone might as well be me.
Ok, back to money for mommas. Here are some starters, I will be adding several to this list.
