Gayle Williams, 34- gave her life for the Gospel, gunned by the Taliban

Gayle Williams, 34, had dual British and South African nationality and worked for SERVE Afghanistan (Serving Emergency Relief and Vocational Enterprise), an inter-denominational Christian charity that helps the disabled, the organization’s chairman said in a statement.

She lived and died for the cause of Christ. Knowing the danger of what she was doing, she continued to share the love of Jesus until it cost her her life. story here

Simple Womans Daybook October 20

 My Simple Woman’s Daybook For Today… October 20, 2008

Outside my Window… things are really pretty, cool, still

I am thinking… about all the things I need to do this week

I am thankful for… my sleeping child next to me, even tough she has a tight grip on my arm which makes it hard to type
From the kitchen… biscuits are baking
From the learning rooms… working on new switched on schoolhouse

I am wearing…  jammies, it is still early
I am reading…  a few blogs here and there,  mostly writing
I am hoping… I can keep myself moving all week

I am hearing… the fire crackling in the woodstove
I am creating…  the next volume of Faith Lessons Learned On The Farm
Around the house… it is quiet, some are outside milking the cow,  some are praying

One of my favorite things…  my home
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…  I have such plans for this week, to finish up some books for you, and get them ready to go with my book being released on the Homeschool Freebie Of the Day this coming Friday, then the big Givaway contests next week, and a special fall sale with lots more free goodies! Be Sure to check my front page,
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

This is an antique pot belly cookstove. An Atlanta Stove Works Whopper #205 . My oldest daughter found it a yard sale and bought it for $10 for me. I feel loved :)   very loved. Anybody know anything about this model? I don’t have the pip to hook it up yet, we might or might just use it as decorative,  what should I put on top? A Cast Iron dutch oven? with what in it?
